Ovation Festival, BW's annual celebration of student achievement, showcased student success in research, scholarship, experiential learning, the arts and more. The signature event of the 18-day festival was the Day of Excellence, which featured student work from every school of the University through posters, displays, live presentations and performances. More than 600 students earned endowed scholarships at Baldwin Wallace University this fall. BW has a long history of endowed scholarship support from alumni, faculty, trustees and friends. More than 385 named scholarships provide over $3 million to help students attend, persist and graduate from BW. Endowed scholarships vary in their requirements with many specifying financial need, a course of study, involvement on campus or a commitment to excellence in a particular field.
More than 400 first-year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall earned $6.1 million in merit scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements. BW grants a wide range of scholarships to current students each year. Including merit and need-based scholarships, BW students received over $45 million in financial support from the University for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The University of Findlay recently welcomed new undergraduate and graduate students to campus for fall 2017.
The Yellow Jacket community was abuzz with excitement during Baldwin Wallace University's Homecoming Weekend. Festivities included a pep rally, parade, tailgate picnic, carnival, alumni reunions and a Yellow Jacket football 38-21 victory over the Wilmington College Quakers. The Jacket Prince and Princess were crowned during the pep rally and the King and Queen were crowned at halftime.

Baldwin Wallace University's Center for Innovation & Growth (CIG) is pleased to announce the 2017-18 CIG Ratcliffe Student Fellows. The group of 33 students, representing 30 majors, will spend the upcoming academic year turning passion into opportunity via innovation, entrepreneurship and integrity-based leadership. The fellows will meet with global and local leaders in innovation, and work on projects that will give them first-hand experience.
Five diverse cities, 35 compassionate Baldwin Wallace University students and one short spring break week added up to a world of difference. The BW Alternative Break service program gives students the opportunity to spend their breaks helping others. The spring 2017 student volunteers traveled to Clarkston, Ga., New Orleans, New York, Washington and Wheeling, W.Va. Each experience was led by a BW student with support from a University faculty or staff adviser.

Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting 12 hours, the marathon consists of performers, dance and education about HIV/AIDS. All proceeds were donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.
